Our mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. We believe that every student deserves access to the tools and resources necessary to achieve their educational goals.

Our History

Founded in 1900 as the College Entrance Examination Board, the College Board has been at the forefront of educational assessment and college readiness. With over 6,000 member institutions, including schools, colleges, and universities, the College Board develops and administers standardized tests and curricula used by K–12 and post-secondary institutions to promote college readiness and success.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs designed to support students in their academic journey:

• SAT Suite of Assessments: A series of standardized tests designed to measure a student's readiness for college-level work. These exams evaluate key skills in Reading, Writing, and Math, providing both students and colleges with a consistent measure of academic readiness.
• Advanced Placement (AP) Program: Allows high school students to take college-level courses and exams, potentially earning college credit and preparing for success in higher education.
• BigFuture: A free, comprehensive resource that helps students plan for college, explore careers, and find scholarships. BigFuture provides step-by-step guidance to make the college planning process more manageable.
